Internship Opportunities

American Ballet Theatre provides professional opportunities for young adults looking to gain invaluable experience in the fields of arts education and arts administration.

Through project-based activities, interns will assist within a specific department, and be introduced to the daily functions that take place in making ABT one of the most prestigious ballet companies in the world.

Internship opportunities can include supporting the Special Events department in preparation for major events, assisting with ticketing and seating requests for major donors in the Development department, or serving as a Teaching Artist’s assistant for ABT’s acclaimed Make a Ballet program.

Program Description

Applicants may apply for one of three semesters: Spring, Summer and Fall

Each semester American Ballet Theatre will offer a minimum of 5 internship opportunities throughout the organization.

In addition to working with ABT mentors, interns will collectively participate in workshops and seminars to both enhance their professional careers as well as broaden their exposure to arts administration. Experiences will include opportunities to meet with ABT Department Heads, as well as professional development exercises in resume building and interviewing skills.
